This multi-purpose space was devised around our client’s desire to have a functional kitchen space, a sociable and formal entertaining area for up to ten people, as well as make best of the morning sun that flooded the kitchen. Coupled with this, our plans for the design had to work around an immovable structural post, as well as an existing Rayburn range.
The space plan created accommodates a breakfast table with bench seating to take advantage of the morning sun and garden views, a large dining area and a kitchen island, which is formed around the immovable post. To make the most of this structure, the post is encased in a pinboard material with lights.
